Cardinals cruise to 15-6 win in penultimate game, eliminate Reds from postseason

cardinals cruise

The performance reminded me of watching an MLB pitcher paint the corners with an assortment of fastballs and breaking pitches. Goldschmidt followed the two-RBI sac fly and ripped a first-pitch sinker down the left field line for a one-out double. O’Neill sat back on a low changeup and took it down the left field line again, scoring Goldschmidt for his third RBI of the game and a 5-0 lead. Arenado hit the Cardinals’ third straight double to score O’Neill, pushing the lead to 6-0.

Carnival Cruise Line: 2024 Itinerary and Programs Highlights

Andy Reid can talk about taking care of the ball until he is blue in the face, but the Chiefs will keep losing games until they heed his message. Fields turned the ball over five times (three interceptions and two fumbles lost) against the Buccaneers. He made a series of poor decisions and errant throws that led to his interception hat trick.

St. Louis Cardinals cruise to 11-6 victory over Cincinnati Reds on Opening Day

Miles Mikolas started for the Cards and was excellent, throwing seven innings of two-run ball on 91 pitches. Brett Anderson’s night didn’t go nearly as well, as he and the Brewers' defense gave up six runs (two earned) before he was lifted with two outs in the second inning. The Cardinals would add four more throughout the game in their offensive onslaught that was aided by some shaky defense from the Crew.

Benefitting Cardinals Care

Heading into a Thursday night showdown at Arizona, the Packers are clicking on all cylinders on each side of the ball. If the Titans can flex against the two-time defending AFC champions, they certainly can push around others ill-equipped to deal with their physicality and toughness. Highlights for the year include a 14-night cruise to Alaska onboard the Carnival Spirit, three cruises to Greenland onboard the Carnival Pride and more sailing to Hawaii with the Carnival Radiance.

Michigan Assistant Coach Resigns Days After Arrest

Garcia then grounded a sinker to Arenado, who threw to first to end the inning. An error by shortstop Eugenio Suárez, who was moved over from third base in spring training, let two runs score and Carlson homered to cap the burst. The red-hot Lady Cardinals (15-5) turned in a flawless game on defense, committing no errors while outhitting the Lady Warriors, 13-3.

Kendrick Bourne put the Patriots on the board early on a double pass that involved him catching a lateral from Mac Jones before tossing a bomb down the sideline to Nelson Agholor. The clever trick play resulted in a quick seven-point lead for the Patriots and ignited their 54-point outburst. After Kaleb Corbett (1.2 IP, 3 K, 2 BB, 4 H, 5 ER) pitched a scoreless top of the fourth for the first zero for Louisville of the game, the Cardinals took advantage in the bottom of the inning. Humphrey hit a sacrifice fly, while Kilen struck again for an RBI single to get UofL within three runs. Kentucky was quick to strike, hitting a home off of starting pitcher Colton Hartman (1.0 IP, 1 K, 2 BB, 2 H, 3 ER) just three pitches into the game. Louisville responded with a pair of solo homers in the bottom of the frame, with Benson and Humphrey going yard.

Aaron Rodgers thinks Packers can be even better after 6-1 start

Jack’s back, take 2.Jack Flaherty will start Game 2 of Friday’s doubleheader vs the Cubs, Mike Shildt says. A “sold-out” crowd of about 12,000 socially distanced people braved the frigid conditions for the first game at Great American Ball Park with fans in 18 months. Amara Horn and Audrey Likins finished with a hit and one run scored apiece. SOMERSET — South Laurel was dialed in on all three facets of its game during Friday’s 10-0 shutout win over Southwestern. Pushing all his chips to the middle of the table, Redman flips the two pair.

Daniel Jones makes a great one-handed catch for 16 yards on a trick play

Judging by these members of Cardinals Nation, though, a team's record matters less than the effort it puts into making fans feel important. Which is why, at the goodbye dinner this evening, Pat Blassie and John Berra, owners of the St. Louis travel agency Altair, rise to lead their group in an annual ritual. They all stop clanging their silverware when Blassie shouts, "One, two, three … "And we rise to sing, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." Day 4 Grenada You have to wonder why a team with a 43,975-seat ballpark would go to all this trouble for 67 fans.

The 16-team, single-elimination NWAC postseason tourney runs Mar. 6-17 at Columbia Basin College in Pasco. Coupeville grad Caleb Meyer was one of four Skagit Valley College basketball players honored Wednesday during a Sophomore Appreciation Night win over Bellevue College. O’Neill followed the homer and topped a first-pitch fastball to first for the first out. Peterson grounded into a force out at second but beat the throw to first to prevent the double play. Cain grounded out to DeJong, who flipped it to second for the fielder’s choice and the second out. Norris then grounded out to second, limiting the Brewers to one run in the fifth.

An inning later, Justin West (0.2 IP, 2 K, 1 BB, 2 H, 2 ER) would allow a two-run bomb himself to put the game in run-rule range. Down by eight runs through 2.5 innings, Louisville began to claw their way out of the early hole they had dug themselves in. In the bottom of the third, Kilen and McCoy each had RBI singles, with Kilen driving in one and McCoy driving in two. The floodgates opened up in the top of the third, with the Cardinals allowing five more runs.

The rookie’s breakout performances have enabled Matt Ryan to find his rhythm as a passer while sparking a Falcons’ offense that has keyed the team’s two-game winning streak. Fueled by Joe Burrow’s 400-yard game (25-for-38 passing for 416 yards with three touchdowns and an interception), the Bengals carved up one of the league’s premier defenses with relative ease. With 500-plus yards of total offense, including 111 yards on the ground, Cincinnati's beatdown will leave scars on Baltimore and open up a few eyes around the league. In addition, the Packers’ defense is starting to find its identity under new D-coordinator Joe Barry. The unit surrendered 400-plus yards to Washington but excelled at the areas that impact the outcome of games. The Packers forced a pair of turnovers and shut out WFT in the red zone (0-for-4 attempts) while also tallying four sacks and nine quarterback hits.

As the McClellans reach for their camera, Chamberlain turns to the wide-eyed reliever. There's something about Johnson -- the big mouth of teeth, the polished bald head, the way he assertively booms, "Call me P.K." -- that tells me he's a bull in this gently swaying china shop. And sure enough, he comes over to me after chatting up Cardinals shortstop Brendan Ryan and says, "I think I insulted him." The Cardinals got redemption after falling victim in a 19-2 beatdown to the Cincinnati Reds in Friday’s series opener.

With that in mind, I believe it is important to keep an eye on some of the underachievers near the midpoint of the season to see if they can find their way heading down the stretch. Those teams might reel off a few wins or play a handful of close games that give them a shot of confidence as they begin to figure out their identity. Hunter Strickland got the call out of the Brewers bullpen in the eighth and gave up a leadoff single to Edman, who then moved to second on a wild pitch to Goldschmidt.

The weekend is a big celebration of Waino’s 18-year career, and the Cardinals will honor him with a pregame ceremony before Sunday’s series finale. After winning his 200th career game two weeks ago, Wainwright enjoyed an at-bat Friday evening and could potentially hit once more Sunday afternoon. Adam Wainwright will end the night with a postgame concert, preparing for his next big endeavor after baseball and debuting three original songs. Escobar smoked a sinker to left but straight at O’Neill for the second out. Yelich jumped on a first-pitch changeup and chopped it to second, retiring the Brewers in order. Bailey Frazier finished with a hit and scored once while Skye Lawson was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored. Addison Baker delivered two hits, three RBI, and scored once while Morgan Jackson and Williams had two hits and an RBI apiece.

Must-Know Transportation Tips from Seattle Airport to Cruise Port

There’s no arguing that catching a cab or Uber direct from the airport to the cruise port is the fastest and most convenient way to get to the ship. At the Westlake station, you’ll exit the train and then ride escalators up to the street level. For Pier 66, you’ll want to exit “C1 3rd Ave & Pine” as this exit puts you the closest to the cruise port. The good news is that you can get there using public transportation for drastically less money. It’s not quite as convenient, but still easily managed by most people.

Ships at Pier 91

We continue to offer safe, affordable, first-class ground transportation to meet the needs of the traveling public living in and visiting our beautiful region. After collecting their luggage, guests should proceed to one of the meeting points listed below. Once there, a representative will escort guests to the pier transportation. What To Do in Seattle Airport For 6 Hours: A Traveler’s Guide

It is 12 miles north of Seattle Airport and the journey by road takesabout 25 minutes. Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) International Airport, commonly knownas Sea-Tac Airport, is 13 miles south of downtown Seattle and a similardistance from the cruise port. This will lead to a skybridge that exits the airport terminal and then enters the fourth level of the parking garage. From there, continue following the signage for the light rail. There is a shuttle offered, but in our experience, it was faster to walk than wait on the shuttle. How long does it take to get from the airport to the cruise port?

Keep in mind that these travel times are estimated and may vary depending on factors such as traffic congestion, road conditions, and the time of day you’re traveling. It’s always a good idea to check for any updates or potential delays before you start your journey. If you’ll be departing from the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal, the distance is slightly longer, approximately 19 miles from Sea-Tac Airport. The travel time by car can vary from 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions and the route taken. The Smith Cove Cruise Terminal, located on Pier 91, is known for its spacious and well-designed layout.

These shuttles are designed specifically for cruise passengers and ensure a comfortable and convenient journey. Upon disembarking at Seattle cruise port with an early flight, we opted for the “walk-off” option, carrying our luggage to quickly exit the ship. During our stay, we chose the Grand Hyatt Seattle, conveniently located within walking distance of key attractions. This proves that you don’t need to be adjacent to the cruise port to enjoy downtown. In addition, the ship’s crew can also provide your boarding passes for your flight. So when you arrive at the airport, you can just head directly to the gate.

Embarking on a cruise from Seattle offers a gateway to the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. Experience Seattle like a local, with a private tour provider who won’t judge you for refusing to drink Starbucks. Rent a car from Seattle Airport to the Cruise Port – because arriving by kayak might not be the most practical option. To ensure a smooth ride, notify the driver of any additional information, such as luggage or special needs when booking the ride.

The history behind Seattle airport taxis dates back many years when cab drivers would gather outside the terminals waiting for passengers in need of a ride.

We’ve put together some estimates from popular places to the cruise ports. Keep in mind these are just estimates as prices vary with demand. If you’re in the shaded region, you should be able to get a ride to the cruise port. As well, areas like Tacoma are also covered, just not shown on this map. Bottom line — you can use the services to get you to the port, no matter where you are.

With Seattle Express once you have your luggage make your way to our kiosk, check in with our agent and enjoy your stress free transfer to Seattle cruise piers 66 or 91. If you are cruising out of the new Pier 46 Cruise Terminal, consider staying at a hotel near Seattle Airport. Accommodation is generallycheaper than in the downtown district. If the hotel does not offer a courtesyshuttle service to downtown Seattle, you can use a taxi, Uber or hop aboard theLink Light Railway.

With a bustling port that received 1.43 million passengers last year, it’s a key point for cruisers heading to Alaska’s rugged beauty via major cruise lines. After going through customs and immigration, it’s another minute ride to the airport after getting to your transportation. For that reason, we’d suggest never booking a flight before noon. Yes, its possible to breeze through and get to the airport earlier, but that can also cause a lot of stress. When you arrive back in Seattle after your cruise, you can expect to get back early in the morning.

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Miami International or Ft. Lauderdale International Airport to Port Miami on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Los Angeles International Airport or Long Beach Airport to Port of Long Beach on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between George Bush Intercontinental Airport or Hobby International Airport to the Port of Galveston on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. From downtown, you can catch a taxi or rideshare for the final leg to the cruise terminal. This option requires more time and effort but significantly lowers your transportation costs.

For those seeking a more economical route, Seattle’s public transportation system provides connectivity from the airport to downtown. One suggestion is to book early and secure your reservations ahead of time as peak tourist season could result in limited availability. Research customer reviews before finalizing your choice of a private transportation provider to obtain an objective perception of their services. Why settle for a crowded shuttle when you can enjoy a private tour from your airport to the cruise port?

Lisbon Portugal Cruise Port Guide: Review 2023

lisbon cruise terminal

The Belem district is 7km from the cruise terminal and can be reached by taking the E15 tram (that departs from the Praça do Comércio) or taxi (7€). It is too much to include both a tour of the centre of Lisbon (the Baixa and Alfama districts shown in the previous map) and Belem in a single day of sightseeing. On April 26, 2014, the port hosted its first "Cruise Day Lisbon" event - a day dedicated exclusively to cruise ship tourism. The special event was marked by a fair (cruise deals promotions), themed cruise talks, cruise ship visit of the tall ship NRP Sagres (Navy school ship), a regatta on Tagus River's estuary.

Main navigation

Naturally, if the cruise passenger wishes to visit attractions outside the historical center, it is advisable to book a cruise excursion or a tour with local operators. There are few services inside, but once out of the secured dock area, there are restaurants, cafes with Wi-Fi, ATMs and stores for necessary sundries. This way, you can still enjoy pleasant temperatures while exploring the city’s attractions without feeling overwhelmed by tourists. Remember to check any local events or festivals happening during your preferred travel dates, as they could enhance your overall experience in Lisbon Cruise Port. Lisbon Cruise Port proudly boasts a dedicated berthing pier for cruise ships of any size. Located along the scenic Tagus River, it offers spectacular views as you sail in or depart.

Santa Apolonia cruise terminal B

To the left side of the baixa are the Chiado and Bairro Alto districts, where you will breath the romantic athmosphere of the city. The cruise traveler has a lot to choose from when calling at the port of Lisbon. Top highlights of Lisbon for cruise travelers include the Belém's UNESCO sites, Sintra's Romantic Castle, the Sanctuary in Fátima or the medieval walled town of Óbidos. The old cruise terminal is officialy named Gare Marítima da Rocha Conde de Óbidos.

Fatima Day Trip From Lisbon

Although Lisbon always requires a bit of uphill walking, the best way of exploring the city is on foot. You can also choose to use one of the many Hop-On Hop-Off sightseeing buses or get on a Tourist Tram to meander the hills of Lisbon. This quay has been operational for a long time with a smaller but very functional cruise terminal officially named Santa Apolónia Cruise Terminal. The latter has now been integrated into the long pier and managed by the new Lisbon Cruise Terminal.

Sightseeing, Bus, Cars and Tuk-Tuk

Cruise ships usually arrive in Lisbon in the morning (8, 9, am) and depart from Lisbon in late-afternoon (at pm). The themed event "Seatrade Cruise Med 2018" was scheduled for September 2018 in Lisbon. Exhibitors from around the world showcased cruise-related products and innovations and discussed latest Meditteranean travel trends and topics. In 2014 (March 10 and 15) ms Azores/CMV Astoria and Thomson Majesty/Crown Iris were the first 2 of 9 ships with calls scheduled for season 2014. Port Authority gave their captains commemorative plaques during a special welcome ceremony held onboard.

Porto Day Trip and Tours From Lisbon

Lisbon is the closest European capital to the United States and is just a 2-hour flight distance from most of the other major European cities. Lisbon Cruise Port (LCP) is situated on the banks of the Tagus estuary near the historic and cultural city center. This is a port of call for cruise ships traveling between the Atlantic coast and Europe, the Western Mediterranean and Northern Europe, the Atlantic Islands and North Africa, as well as transatlantic journeys. Santa Apolónia Cruise Terminal is the farthest from downtown - 0.9 miles (1.4 km) to Terreiro do Paço (aka Praça do Comércio) square. The recently built Lisbon Cruise Terminal has larger spaces, better services, and amenities and is closer to downtown - 0.6 miles (900 meters) to Terreiro do Paço square. This is where most large ships dock when calling at the cruise port of Lisbon.

This first-ever initiative was promoted by LCC (Lisbon Cruise Club) and was dedicated to the strong market growth and the economic impact from the Port of Lisbon revenues in 2013. Also, a Forum was opened at Gare Marítima de Alcantara, where were gathered key people from Portugal's tourism and cruising industry. Also there was hosted the "Montra de Cruzeiros” (Portugal's first-ever cruise fair open to the general public. The fair was attended by representatives of cruise ship lines and operators and also by leading travel agencies. To the right of Terreiro do Paço you can see the castle towering above the entire city. The best way for cruise travelers to explore the castle district is to take the tram up as close as possible to the castle and then walk down to visit the church of S. Whatever you choose to do or see in Lisbon, it is easy and affordable to explore the city.

Its modern architecture melds smoothly with functional design for efficient traveler movement and services for passengers. If you have the opportunity to be out and about as the cruise ship arrives in port do not miss it. But if you miss the arrival, make sure to be out on deck when the ship sails away. Passing under the bridge is great fun and the views of the city from the river are really sensational.

Welcome aboard to the enchanting Lisbon Cruise Terminal, where time seems to stand still and history comes alive. Located in the heart of Lisbon, this magnificent terminal offers a gateway to the past, allowing visitors to embark on a journey filled with charm, culture, and unforgettable experiences. From its stunning architecture to its vibrant atmosphere, the Lisbon Cruise Terminal is a must-visit destination for all travelers seeking a unique and memorable adventure. The cruise terminals in Lisbon are well located, fairly close to the main districts, monuments and museums.

The monument is located along the northern bank of the Tagus River, a 10-minute walk from Belém Tower. The monument is an impressive 52-meter tall structure, built in 1940 to commemorate the 500 years since the death of Henry the Navigator, who discovered the Azores, Madeira, and Cape Verde. In the past, under Moorish domination, Alfama was located outside of the city walls, populated by fishermen and the poor. During the Age of Discovery, it remained the neighborhood of low-class dockworkers and sailors; sailors’ women used to sing melancholic songs when their beloved ones would set sail into the unknown, and that’s how Fado music was born.

With its diverse cruise itineraries and luxurious amenities, NCL provides an unforgettable vacation at sea for cruise ship travelers. With their ubiquitous presence throughout the city, these yellow wonders double as transport and popular attractions. Encompassing two primary docking areas – Santa Apolónia Cruise Terminal and a public transportation terminal – Lisbon caters to large volumes of arriving and departing passengers.

It’s also wise to keep important documents like passports securely locked away in a hotel safe. Lastly, familiarize yourself with local emergency numbers and make a note of the location of nearby police stations or security offices for added peace of mind during your visit to Lisbon. Credit cards are widely accepted in Lisbon, making it convenient for tourists to make purchases. So, whether you need cash or prefer using plastic, you’ll have no problem accessing local currency during your visit to Lisbon.

The statue of King Joseph I on horseback stands in the middle of the square as a guardian of the city. The earthquake was followed by a tsunami and a fire, which destroyed most of the city and the old Royal Palace that once stood on the Terreiro do Paço. If docking at Santa Apolónia there is an underground stop right next to the exit of the terminal. Prices are very competitive specially considering that the amount paid is converted at the day's rate without any commission fees. However be aware that at pick and rush hours the Uber fares can be more expensive than a regular taxi. Lisbon is a charming city, buzzing with life, with a rich history and beautiful attractions to explore.

Known as the “City of Seven Hills” and situated on the beautiful Tagus River, Lisbon is considered to be one of the most charming capitals in the world. Lisbon has long enjoyed a strategic geographical position and connection with the sea. Despite keeping up with the latest trends, the city has preserved its historical charm, and offers a wide variety of experiences and opportunities for all tastes. Lisbon Cruise Port is just a 15-minute drive from the Lisbon International Airport, served with more than 500 direct weekly flights to and from all over the world and receiving more than 24 million passengers annually. Sintra can be visited as a day trip from Lisbon, but if this is your first trip to the city, it is recommended to just stay within the historic centre of Lisbon.

Other Themed Cruises

Delightfully macabre, the 2024 Gothic Cruise is not a full-ship charter but a specialty group on board. Seek out group members at special theme nights set for 2024, including a masquerade ball and a "Saints vs. Sinners" costume party. Expect plenty of hootin' and hollerin' during themed costume nights, meet-and-greets, game shows, a belly-flop competition and bingo games.

The top-tier music acts join a long lineup of rock 'n' roll icons. The cruise will feature days filled with concerts, artist Q&A sessions, panel discussions and game shows. Expect plenty of fun Broadway-themed events, including a Broadway pub crawl and show tune singalongs, plus autograph sessions for fans to meet their favorite Broadway stars.

If your theme cruise is a partial charter, what kinds of people might make up the rest of the sailing, and will you fit in with the onboard vibe? Each cruise line tends to have a different personality and clientele. Ultimately, the intimacy of any theme cruise depends on its size and the number of activities in which the headliners participate. An outing with just a few hundred fellow enthusiasts or one that takes over a small ship is more conducive to one-on-one interaction. Yet a full-ship charter offers the reassurance that everyone onboard will have a similar mindset and a sense of camaraderie. A partial-ship sailing can be fun, but know that you'll be surrounded by hundreds who might not share your interests, everywhere from the buffet line to the cocktail lounges.

Find your people and then challenge them to a game of bridge as you glide from port to port. The bridge program on board is hosted by bridge experts Roberta Salob and Silvana Morici, with a mix of pair duplicate and Swiss team games. This cruise features more than two dozen musical acts that span decades of genres and musical styles. The musical lineup for 2024 is set to include Lyle Lovett, The Mavericks, Billy Bragg, Shawn Colvin, Lucius, The Lone Bellow, KT Tunstall and many more. All passengers onboard are welcomed to participate, but the theme won't dominate the experience the way a full-ship charter would.

You'll be surprised at the number and range of special-interest sailings available in any year. Some cruise lines list them; another way to find what you desire is to search for your interest and the word "cruise" on the Internet. Headlining artists or experts will often promote the cruises on their web or social media sites, so be sure to follow your favorites. You can always ask a travel agent to help you find the perfect themed sailing. From the moment you board a full-ship theme cruise, expect to dive into the motif.

This guide to the best theme cruises showcases some of the most interesting ones, as well as providing a handy list of all of the current theme cruises on offer, with links to where you can find more information about them.

Also, ships will often feel fuller than other lines as there is a relatively high number of children sharing the staterooms of their parents compared with other cruise ships. In most cases, such cruises are one-off events, but there's one line for which every cruise is all about the themed experience. Theme cruise events, such as concerts, are included, though some limited-access special events often cost extra. Fares were valid as of writing but are subject to change based on availability. The company also puts on similar journeys spotlighting Lewis & Clark’s explorations along the Columbia and Snake Rivers in the Pacific Northwest and Civil War sites along the mighty Mississippi.

This is your chance to join more than 2,000 soul music fans for a week filled with all the joy of those timeless tunes. This year's artist roster features soul music legends and tribute acts, including Boyz II Men, The Temptations, En Vogue, WAR, Stephanie Mills and Tower of Power. P&O Cruises Australia is well-known for its comedy cruises held over three or four nights from various destinations in Australia. Such itineraries don’t just feature more stand-up comedy performances than an average cruise; they also offer comedy workshops and the opportunity for guests to perform on stage. Many themed trips are set for the early months of the year, usually February, which is typically a quieter period for the cruise industry when ships are available for charter. The Ultimate Disco Cruise and Beyond is BACK for its 5th Anniversary sailing!

In February, Norwegian Gem will host the ninth installment of the popular Outlaw Country Cruise. This Sixthman voyage will sail from Miami and stop in Nassau, Bahamas, and St. Thomas. Along with multiple music sets, Groove Cruise hosts fun theme party nights focusing on everything from an '80s prom to fire and ice. Link your love of golf with your need for a vacation on this sailing from Azamara and PerryGolf.

That might come in the form of a pre-sailing concert, Champagne with prestigious lecturers or a welcome kit in your room laying out an exciting and full schedule of events (including chances to party alongside big-name guests). You'll likely have received materials pre-sailing to prepare you for how you'll spend your days and what you need to bring. Fans of iconic 70s rock band Kiss can join them for an adventure at sea onboard the Kiss music-themed cruise. Expect performances from Kiss and their friends as well as meet and greet sessions and activities with each of the band members. Think of a hobby you enjoy, celebrity you'd love to meet or an exciting activity you've always wanted to try. There are nine different restaurants on board Britannia, including Freedom and Club dining options, plus coffee shops and cafés where you might enjoy a snack. For a more informal meal, head to the Horizon buffet and savour flavours from around the world or try the poolside pizzeria and grill. The second, which entered service in 1887, was one of four ships ordered by the company to mark the golden jubilee of both Queen Victoria and P&O itself. The ceremonial float out of the third Britannia took place on the afternoon of 14 February 2014, with the traditional champagne bottle smashed against the vessel's hull. Britannia departed the Fincantieri ship yard on 27 February 2015 for Southampton via Gibraltar.

Enrichment activities such as language classes take place in the Ivory Suite next door (Deck 16). Both rooms are exquisitely decorated in white and gold, and it's easy to imagine a wedding blessing taking place in these suites (which they are designed for, as well as card games). Britannia has the most popular features of the P&O fleet, such as The Crow's Nest Bar, Atul Kochar's Sindhu restaurant, Olly Smith's The Glass House, as well as brand new amenities. P&O says that Britannia cruise ship engine power output (MAN diesel engines) is equivalent to 70 Challenger tanks’ power or 86 supercars Bugatti Veyron. Britannia cruise ship is also the greenest yet and designed to deliver greater levels of environmental and operational efficiency.

The staff limit the amount of time kids spend playing computer games, and kids of this age are limited to just 11 age-appropriate games. The library is all the way up on Deck 16, right at the front of the ship, just behind the Crow's Nest. All the books are in English, and you can take out two books per person and keep them for one week.

The only omission is a recessed space for the soap bar. The H2O room for 13- to 17-year-olds is more like a nightclub than a kids' room. Teens can either join in the organised games, talent shows and parties, or hang out with friends in the dedicated chill-out areas and play video games or watch DVDs. The Surfers room is huge, split up into a number of different areas. There is a giant soft play area with bean bags, a Lego play area, a puppet theatre, foosball, Wii TV and a number of screens for PS4 computer games.

Complete with ocean views, tempting drinks and live piano music, get ready for a special night onboard Britannia. You can also hire a personal trainer by the hour (£47) or join a Boot Camp (three 45-minute classes) for £74. The spa, thermal suite and The Retreat all get booked up early, so make your appointments or purchase your passes as soon as you get onboard -- particularly, if you'd like a treatment on a sea day.

Tumblers is the stay and play area for the tiniest passengers, with soft play mats and plenty of toys. There are no organised activities; instead, it's a safe place for parents to interact with their kids. At night, the space turns into a night nursery for children up to 4-years-old, with space for 15 cots. This is a complimentary service on a first come first served basis. Most of the bars and entertainment venues can be found in or just off the atrium, with a couple of exceptions. You’ll find live music throughout the day across the ship.

MS Britannia is currently P&O UK's largest liner, as well as the ever-biggest built specifically for the UK market, Fleet's next largest vessels are Azura and Ventura. The interior was designed by "Richmond International" - UK-based hotel design company. On February 22, 2015, the vessel was delivered at the Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard. The 2015-built MV Britannia cruise ship is the largest vessel in the P&O UK's fleet. From this Royal-class are also the Princess Cruises liners Royal Princess (2013), Regal Princess (2014), Majestic Princess (2017), Sky Princess (2019), Enchanted Princess (2021) and Discovery Princess (2022). These are the ever biggest cruise vessels constructed by Fincantieri (Italy).

The first British ship to offer cooking lessons at sea, The Cookery Club provides guests an opportunity to hone their cooking techniques under the watchful eye of food experts and chefs. Aboard the Britannia, passengers can cook alongside baking queen Mary Berry and TV chef James Martin. Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar teaches guests how to make dishes from Sindhu - his signature restaurant. Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White also runs a class, demonstrating his famous dishes whilst passengers cook alongside him. Britannia has a total of 1,837 cabins with 27 of those being single cabins (inside and balcony), in addition to conventional inside and balcony cabins; 64 of the cabins are designated as suites. For the first time on a P&O Cruises ship, all outside cabins have balconies.
